Gap Inc.
I am currently senior manager of creative on the Gap Inc. Brand Experience team — a team that supports and manages all visual expressions of the Gap Inc. brand, including brand identity management and design, presentations, events and experiences, and occasionally creative for brand communications supporting our house of iconic American brands: Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic and Athleta.
Gap Inc. Brand Experience
360 Creative Support
From concept to completion, art directing and designing a high-level physical manifestation of our brand through events, spaces and global moments.
Design and branding are one part of the larger creative direction, and I design the high-level cohesive execution of our brand through signage, printed materials, in-office screens, decks, installations, all digital assets to support the activation (email banners, zoom screens and social content.)
Impact “pillars” brought to life in the lobby of the Gap Inc. Headquarters at 2 Folsom in San Francisco, paired with a video takeover in the lobby.
Reporting
Developed style guide, art and photo direction and infographic design to hand off to an agency partner to build out the report in its entirety.
Gap Inc. Brand and Asset Management
Our agency partner designed and developed the Gap Inc. brand, but our team distributed and implemented the brand company-wide. We are always making note of how our employees use the brand, makes necessary adjustments and continuoulsy help improve the best practices.
I the manage the Brand Center, design evergreen assets to use throughout the business (print, digital, experiential), assign and curate photography that works to best represent all our brands under the corporate portfolio, etc.
Presentation + deck Design
In partnership with CEO comms and the CEO writer, develop all presentations for the CEO’s speaking engagements, from Town Halls and Board of Directors, to external fireside chats and events.
Additionally supporting decks for other our various business partners including senior leadership, individual brands, and decks for informational takeaways, managing templates to be brand consistent and provide oversight on creative, with design and video/motion in mind.
Update and manage brand templates for channels and assets to be distributed company-wide.
Design stage back drops and other experiential creative support.
Special Projects
At Gap Inc. there is often we often need to develop extensions of our brand that go beyond general communications and daily brand functions. These projects push the brand guidelines further, with branded look-and-feel that feels different enough to stand alone, but is cohesive with our overall brand.
I art directed and designed a coffee table book on the exceptional life of Doris Fisher, Gap’s cofounder.
Working with a publisher to produce and layout the book in it’s entirety, I led design and art direction and designed the cover and slip cover.
Editorial art direction
The foundation of my career is rooted in editorial art direction and design. The deep understanding of storytelling through the editing and packaging of photos, copy, and type adds a unique and valuable perspective to brand design, and is forever the roadmap and guide to everything I create.

Designed the premiere digital versions of Stylewatch on a mobile device. Developed print-to-digital workflow, designed templates and applied interactive features to create the issue for iPad and Android every month.

Hired as a consultant to develop a bold, stylish look-and-feel for hero artwork to be uploaded with daily story posts, in efforts to successfully increase click-through rates.
Giving Blueday is U-M’s branded Giving Tuesday, a 24-hour giving day promoted throughout the university with environmental signage, advertising, marketing materials, and events to engage students on campus.
University of Michigan
Lead designer in the Office of Development, responsible of marketing and communications for major fundraising for the university supporting all university functions, including buildings, sports, scholarships, the hospital and the endowment. There is nothing quite like understanding the philosophy of storytelling, and its many audiences, like building creative for philanthropy and major gifts.
Design and work with print vendors to print materials with high-level design and the most cost effective approach.
The challenge was to take all stock, handout and Getty imagery to bring all photos together in a cohesive way, that tells the story and draws the click-through.
